LEAK DETECTION & DRONE SURVEYING
WE OFFER ELECTRONIC AND THERMAL ROOF TESTING AND DRONE SURVEYING.
Electronic Leak Detection
Dry Testing detects an electrical path to earth through leaks and defects in non-conductive flat roofing finishes.
As the electrode is ‘swept’ over the roof’s surface, any faults trigger the detector’s alarm system; alerting the user.
Wet Testing uses the 'vector-mapping' or 'earth leakage' method of locating faults. The conductive properties of water (from either rainfall or a hose) provide a medium through which electrical current can flow, allowing the user to pinpoint leaks.
Leaks in the roof membrane allow water to penetrate to the building’s structure; creating a short circuit. The detector unit is connected to two hand-held test probes which are held in contact with the roof surface.
By measuring the voltage differential between the test probes, the detector unit is able to direct the operator to the location of the leak.
Drone Surveying
We also offer drone roof surveys for those hard to reach roof spaces where access is limited or costs for access exceed the clients budgets.
Fully approved and insured to carry out these tasks with qualified PFCO drone operators.
